What incentives and financing options are available?

Financing Options

We offer easy, flexible financing options on a Torus Station through a variety of leading lenders. When you request a quote, your Torus Guide will present you with different financing options and carefully explain how each works, so you can make an informed decision on how to best purchase your system.

Government Incentives

There are many federal, state, and local incentives that can greatly lower the upfront cost of your Torus Station.

  • The Torus Station qualifies for the Residential Clean Energy Credit—a 30% federal tax credit that supports solar and battery installations.
  • Depending on where you live, there are many state incentives that can further reduce your costs.

When you reach out for a quote, your Torus Guide will identify every incentive you’re eligible for, helping you maximize your savings.

Virtual Power Plant Incentives

Virtual power plants (VPPs) are large groups of individual batteries joined together into a single reservoir of power using software. Utility companies around the country are creating VPPs as a fast, cost-efficient way to expand grid capacity. In order to encourage residential battery adoption among their customers, utility providers often offer generous upfront incentives for joining their VPP. The best part? The Torus Station offers some of the most robust VPP capabilities, making enrolling in most programs easy.

Rocky Mountain Power's Wattsmart Program

For homeowners in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, Rocky Mountain Power operates the Wattsmart Program, a virtual power plant with generous upfront incentives. The Torus Station is one of the few systems that qualify for the program and is eligible for ongoing bill credits and an upfront cash payment of up to $5,000 when enrolled.
