About the Role

The Electronics Assembly Technician is a crucial role for the success of our product and will report into the Manufacturing Tech Lead. The role is responsible for the electronics assembly for our renewable energy system. Assembled products will include: circuit boards, wire harnesses, and other electronic components. As a start up, there will be times when this role will require work outside of electronics assembly, including other product assembly and other tasks that may be assigned.

  • Wire, solder, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components
  • Read schematics and other technical manuals to fully understand how to perform various tasks
  • Perform various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering
  • Perform tests on finished products before packaging
  • Inspect and repair components as needed; reject product outside of specifications
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery
  • Complete other tasks as necessary

Experience You’ll Need

  • Soldering experience (certification a plus; must be able to obtain IPC certification)
  • Familiarity with the latest IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards, IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard
  • Electronics wiring experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory (AC/DC)
  • Electrical and mechanical diagnostic and assembly abilities
  • 2+ years experience in electronic assembly a plus
